API interface for data filtering from any user application
How to call the interface from a user written application?
The universal record/data filter system described could be invoked from any other application e.g. ASM, COBOL etc., especially where no SORT COPY function is really required.
The advantage of such a facility is, that no ‚hardcoding‘ within an application would be required to select records or any E15/E35 Exits would have to be coded. A facility which even allows to perform generic filtering/search, something not found in any standard SORT 3rd party tools.
